For Today…
Just a thought for today…
Romans 10:1 Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God on behalf of my fellow Israelites is for their salvation. 10:2 For I can testify that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not in line with the truth. 10:3 For ignoring the righteousness that comes from God and seeking instead to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law, with the result that there is righteousness for everyone who believes. If we ignore that our righteousness is from God, we will try to establish our own righteousness. Jesus is the righteousness for everyone who believes and receives His righteousness.
My Purpose
Isaiah 43:19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. [NET]
To restore what was lost and to bring the new.
It is time for the body of Jesus to regain all that was lost. To walk in all the Lord has for them.
To bring the Church out of the system of the world. To sweep the traditions of men and the walls of religion off of the foundation of the Church. It is time to meet the real Jesus. The true foundation.
To bring the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In my youth and all through my life, all I wanted was to know the real Jesus. To experience Him as He truly is. Not as someone told me he is, but as He is. He has been faithful and patient with me. Over the years, He has revealed himself in numerous ways.
Now, in the later years of my life, He has given me my heart’s desire, His presence, and love without measure or condition. I want this for every human being in the world. I want them to truly know Him.
To remove the traditions of men and the influence of the world.
The Church suffers because we have lost the head of the Church. We have lost the connection with Jesus. We have removed His place of leadership. We have gone after traditions and the world’s way of doing things.
We have stood on a foundation that we are not acquainted with. It is time to return to what was lost, sweep clean the foundation, and submit ourselves to Jesus, the head of the Church, His body.
To bring back the living word.
Most Christians know about the word. They know of the word. But they do not know the living word or its power. It has the power to change their life radically and to remove their bondages. It is revelation that truly changes hearts and creates new life.
The Church has lost this and knows about the word, but they do not really experience the word. It is time for them to know and experience the word in all its fullness.
To restore intimacy with one another.
The world is supposed to know us by our love for one another.
In the present Church, there are few opportunities to generate true intimacy with each other.
The meetings have become one-man shows with little to no interaction. The worship is more like entertainment than intimacy with the Lord.
The pattern of the world has invaded the Church and has prevented that intimacy with each other and, most importantly, with Jesus. If you do not know Jesus intimately, there is little chance you can be intimate in God’s love with one another.
To show the world the true Jesus and His true salvation.
- To display before the world Jesus as He is, as the true hope and only hope.
- To display His love and His power.
- To witness by His love in power and in signs and wonders.
- To restore true evangelism and bring in the harvest of His heart.
- To expand His kingdom in the true knowledge of Him.
That they all will know him and the true power of His grace.
